Sorry, I should have ask you first if you understand by what I mean by doing a trace route. You are saying that you cannot connect with InterQuote... right? The purpose of doing a trace route is to see where along the Internet path, your connection is being stopped.

See this post for a good description of the process.

To do a trace route, I am assuming that you are using Win95. Go to your programs file and start "MS-DOS prompt". At the prompt, type this line, then hit your enter key.

tracert 156.46.195.75

This will give you a trace route to the server InterQuote uses on the data feed. When you see the last line "Trace complete", copy all of the text that you see on your screen. Just in case you do not know how to copy from the dos window, click on the first icon, which is the outline square box (next to the "Auto" text). Then starting from the top of the dos window hold down the mouse button and drag down over all text. Next click on the icon that is to the right of the outline square box. This copies the highlighted text. Go back to SI, then paste this information into the reply area.

After this I will try to help you understand what the resulting trace route means and how it relates to your connection problems with InterQuote.

I will bet that your trace route includes the Chicago, Illinois Ameritech NAP, which is "agis.net".

PS. I have not experience any data feed problems today.
