Does MLNM really need to add a bioinformatics
company like Curagen--maybe I'm just sour grapes
for having missed the run up in genomics stocks,
having hunkered down in the 'scientific asylum',
but I lose interest a little more each time I
see an article on INCY, Celera, or the SNP consortium.

I'd like to take a stab at this though, a guess--
how about Ligand or Isis?

Question--now that I'm starting to get the jargon,
what companies would you say fit this description:
Small molecule chemical genetic platform companies.
I've been going through a few Schreiber papers,
and this cytoblot stuff is pretty interesting--
naturally the thought I had when I read your post
is that maybe MLNM is more of a genome discovery
company, and now what it needs are additional
"enabling technologies".

You often see articles suggesting munchers want
to snag companies with products in late stage
clinical work. That really seems backward to me--
instead, build the pipeline and fill it with leads.
