Hi Ole 49r! It's true. I did transfer 1/3 of my assets into the Physical at the end of August. I have a lot of Gold Bullion Bars in my house. With Y2K approaching, I needed to preserve my wealth. I didn't want to lose everything that I had worked hard for over the last 17 Years.

I take Y2K very seriously. Yesterday, at approximately 2:20pm EST, Bloomberg radio here in NY said that the hospitals and healthcare companies were very concerned about the effect of Y2K on their operations. It sounded to me like they were setting off the alarm siren. As usual, hardly anyone paid attention. "They" will notice alright though when it's to late.

As a rugged individualist in the New England Transcendental Tradition, I appreciate reading posts from those who think for themselves and who act independently without external constraints!

I sold some of my gold shares yesterday. But I still have some left. It's difficult for me to determine what may happen next in the gold market. But I'm committed to going along for the ride for the time being. Gold seems to be trading in the realm of Freedom now.
