I am sceptical that this Fed meeting will not be like all the others before it of late. If they raise, we tank and worry about whether another raise is coming later. If they don't, we stay flat and worry about whether another raise is coming later. This whole rate wait thing has been a crock for the last quarter or so. I don't see any reason to suspect the meeting Tuesday will magically clear up the interest rate picture going forward. As you know, flat will screw you on both sides of a straddle.
