I think Zolt is exactly correct. First, this draft dodging stuff is, apart from being factually incorrect, a fig. Its an attempt to drag Bush down to equate him somehow with the current level of sleaze in the WH. Dems and their supporters are behind this continuing disinformation campaign because they would much rather run against McCain who stands the best chance of losing to Gore (or possibly Bradley) if nominated. That said I still believe both McCain and GWB are head and shoulders above the Dem alternatives (and I would support either if nominated) but I have a real problem with McCain's stance on campaign finance "reform". While I'm not real enthusiastic for GWB, I do believe he has a better chance of being elected than MCCain and if the Repubs can hold the House and Senate, I'm excited about the possibilities inherent in having a Repub President with a Repub Congress. We've never seen that scenario. JLA
