LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 1997--DiviCom Inc.
(NASDAQ:CUBE), a leading provider of digital video solutions for
satellite and terrestrial networks, today announced that it has
opened offices in France and the U.K.
DiviCom is expanding its European presence to better serve
DiviCom's existing European customers and manage business development
in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
DiviCom's European headquarters are based in Paris, France, and
managed by Jean-Philippe Plantevin. Plantevin previously held
senior marketing and business development positions with Sagem,
France Telecom and Tandberg Television, DiviCom's close partner.
Frank Patterson is responsible for managing DiviCom Europe's U.K.
office outside of London. Prior to joining DiviCom, Patterson
directed the U.K. subsidiary of RE Technology AS, whose audio and
video compression products were sold to terrestrial broadcasters and
cable companies in the U.K. and Ireland.
"To properly serve a market, a supplier needs to establish a
local presence," said Fred Schwabe-Hansen, Sales Director of
Tandberg Television ASA, a leading European broadcast vendor. "We
are very enthusiastic about working even more closely with DiviCom
because we've seen tremendous interest in their products and services
in the market."
DiviCom recently announced a formal partnership with Tandberg to
co-develop and distribute products in Europe and other markets.
DiviCom Europe will work to promote the sales and support of
DiviCom's products in international markets, with an emphasis on
localized customer service.

milestone in DiviCom's global expansion," said Tom Lookabaugh,
senior vice president and general manager of DiviCom. "We are

four years ago by a French company, Sagem, with a special focus on
