Alcatel is a French company. Sorry, I should say "very" french company. Culturally entirely different, so time will tell how they get along. What does it mean for ASPECT?. Couple of thoughts: 1) ASPT is the only independent ACD/CTI company left. So this is a good thing. The next bidder will have to pay more 2) ASPT has created a super category: the CR Portal, where CTI is an element in it to be integrated with other types of communications. 3) Even if GCTIïs CTI product was better than ASPTïs. The value of the portal is higher because it is a "whole product" that "out of the box" solves an important need. So, in my opinion, ASPT is worth more than GCTI. Thus, more than $1.5 billion. I hope JC finds a way (the sooner the better) to unlock this value for the sake of all, him and other ASPTïs employees included. Regards JAPG
