The Bidwhacking of late has understandably taken whatever limited steam may have been in the NCI bid. I mean , the whackers aren't even sitting on the ask - they just persistently come out of nowhere as soon as any sizeable depth develops on the Bid side. Impossible to tell whether this is motivated by scorn , spite or strategic design. In any event the NCI bid was IMO just a stop-gap defensive measure until the real problems could be addressed. Remember UNH ? Trading c. $10 in '98 until concerns about management/corporate direction sent it into the $4's. Co. announced NCI bid early this year to no real effect. Sooner rather than later it received "corporate attentions". Co. got taken over in May. Regards.
