--- [Isa 54:7] For a brief moment I forsook you, but with great compassion I will gather you. So, God, in what seems to be a confused moment in His life, turned his back. You can't "love" someone at that time that you turn your back on them. --- [Isa 54:8] In overflowing wrath for a moment I hid my face from you, but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you, says the LORD, your Redeemer. Once again, God lost His composure and temper. "Overflowing wrath"! He really lost his temper and love, and turned to wrath and violent hate! God didn't love while he was consumed with "overflowing wrath". - [Isa 54:10] For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you Well, which is it? Is it wrath one minute and love the next? Is this a God that changes His mind and makes mistakes? It certainly seems so. One day, in a moment of "overflowing wrath" God might look down and say to Emile "Emile, there is something about you that pisses me off!" |
