Robert, i did see institutional buying in AMZN today...however, nothing says it was for the long term. the manager of the Stein Roe fund recently admitted to institutions daytrading internet stocks...something i have observed myself on several occasions. generally institutions are still wary of the group due to it's volatility and high valuation. there are some specialized funds playing the nutz, but from anecdotal evidence i'd say the mainstream funds still steer clear or are at best nibbling. nevertheless, the strength in the sector is impressive. regards, hb
