Fry Guy hires a new VP/GM away from Walmart... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 1997--Alanco Environmental Resources Corp. (NASDAQ:ALAN) Monday announced the appointment of Ken Ross as vice president and general manager of the company's Fry Guy Inc. subsidiary.
Ross will be responsible for domestic and international operations of Fry Guy Inc. as well as new market development.
Ross comes to Fry Guy after eight years in positions of increasing responsibility with Wal-Mart Stores, the nation's largest retailer. Most recently Ross was a corporate buyer overseeing operations of Wal-Mart's Food Services Division. Prior to that, Ross served as a corporate marketing manager in Wal-Mart's Bentonville, Ark. headquarters.
"My first hand experience with the remarkable consumer acceptance and commercial success of the Fry Guy Integrated Food Services Program in Wal-Mart Stores convinced me that the opportunity to join Fry Guy was not something to be passed up," said Ross. "The growth opportunities for this program are enormous, and I look forward to helping make them happen."
In announcing the addition of Ross, Alanco Chairman Dennis Schlegel said, "We are very fortunate to have Ken Ross join our management team. Under the private label SGT. FRY, Fry Guy provides end users the finest quality finger food products in conjunction with prominent food suppliers as its strategic partners.
