Right.<<< It is, indeed, a sad day when GAO is relegated to recommending that little old ladies be asked to beg health care providers to be responsible about providing service into the new year. Nonetheless, if that is such a "STUPID IDEA," what would you have the government do instead? The only thing I can think of is to instead send the little old ladies a list of prepared and unprepared providers and suggest they switch over the next three months to someone who cares, an approach that carries its own set of problems.
