After joining the eGlobe Open VOIP settlement group, members can immediately terminate calls world wide using their own Internet access and other clearinghouse members aggressive VOIP rate structure. Members can originate and/or terminate long distance traffic at their option and control the rates they offer to other members.

"This announcement provides the beginning of open access and guaranteed payment for wholesale traffic among IP carriers offering value added services such as voice and fax. The eGlobe clearinghouse, which provides open, secure clearing and settlement of VoIP traffic among network operators is the critical enabler to fulfill this vision. Today, eGlobe can clear and settle IP telephony traffic among clearinghouse members. In the future, other value-added communications services will be offered," said Christopher Vizas, eGlobe's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
