exactly! Earlier in the year I identified a number of companies which I considered good potential investments. However, I had a bearish outlook based on some fundamentals (in my opinion the only foward looking indicators). However, based on the TA I was learning (still am but much better now), I wasn't willing to take the plunge. Well, I'm approaching some decision making on those stocks, based on TA.

Now, with respect to my comment about fundies being foward indicators implies TA is not predictive. Well, that just isn't the case. TA does not predict what a stock will do. But TA patterns and all indicators can be correlated to similar past expressions of chart patterns and indicator results. It is the degree of correlation with other past chart patterns and indicator results which determines the predictive value of TA on current stock charts which have yet to resolve
