Anyone had any luck contacting IR.
I've tried to reach them by phone and e-mail to get some information on what the company is doing and to comment on the increasing number of rumours we're hearing. Still hoping for a reply in the near future.
I did speak with ANZ IR last week and they were most candid and encouraging about their operations and Ojolali. Here's a very brief summary of the items pertaining to us:
1. CLL Share swap - is a rumour started on the internet that has 'absolutely no substance'
2. Strathcona report - is controlled by ANZ and they are very reluctant to release it into the public domain too early. They're concerned about the possibiliy of the information being used by competitors in ways that would not be in ANZ/CLL shareholder's best interests. They will, however, be including summary highlights from the report, updated with their ongoing work, as part of the prospectus filings required for their recent financing agreements.
3. Ojolali - 3 geologists currently on site doing mapping and prep work. - Airborne work to begin very soon, just waiting for minor permit approval (nb. NOT the CoW's). - Finalizing contract with exploration services co. and focusing on ensuring extremely high standards are followed so we don't get Bre-X'd. (eg each core will be sent to 5 seperate labs ... on-site, Jakarta, Canada, South Africa, and ???) - Shortly after airborne survey starts, drilling will commmence and both will continue simultaneously. - Assay results will be released on an ongoing basis as targets are identified and drilled/trenched. - target identification & drilling will continue throughout 97/98. - CoW's are 7th generation and ANZ is completely confident they will be signed, but given circumstances there it may be a little while yet. - people investing in CLL/ANZ on the basis of Ojolali should be investing for the 'long haul' because it'll be some time before the FULL potential of the property is known (lots of area to cover).
Anyone wishing an update can call ANZ at (416) 861-9940. Contacts are Robert Yeoman and Cynthia Dean. They encourage all ANZ (and I presume CLL) investors to contact them as often as they see fit.
If anyone does manage to get through to CLL there are some things I feel investors should be kept informed on with FACTS (within confines of ASE insider confidentiality regulations, of course):
1. WHAT IS GOING ON AT THE PEMON SITE IN VENEZUELA. Rumours are starting and we need to told facts (eg. $600,000/month revenues, etc.)?
2. What is the status of the $2M publicized financing that was to close 03/31?
3. Are there any new projects in the works that could help counter the current price depression caused by Bre-X?
