Robert I'm not familiar with Winframe but if it uses a NT then there is big security problems with it.One of the latest security flaws.
Utility to manage NT/Unix files leaves NT passwords vulnerable

And if it uses ActiveX (captiveX) high probability same thing security problem

ActiveX's Dirty Little Secret
Java applets are protected by a "sandbox"-a barrier between the applet
and the rest of the user's system. (Although the new Java Development Kit 1.1 allows applets to bypass the sandbox for specific functions, you get to choose which functions to allow.) Because the applet leash is so short, the risk is lower. They can't do nasty things such as erasing files from your hard disk. The trade-off is that they're less functional.
Microsoft opted not to confine ActiveX controls to a "sandbox." Once an ActiveX control is unleased, it can do anything. Microsoft's only "solution" has been to create an honor system called "Authenticode" (digital signature). Noble, but dangerous. Because an ActiveX control is a full-fledged Windows 95 component. It can do virtually anything a
programmer can dream up. Once you invite it in, it can install destructive viruses. Delete files. Erase your hard drive. If that happens, Authenticode can help you track down the control's unscrupulous publisher. But that's little consolation if your hard drive is toast.

Of course Security is not important if it suits MS.
I know nothing is secure but Java is definitely more secure from what I have read.

P.S. I have never personally seen a true NC system with thin clients in operation.I have only been following the events as they unfold.
I am relying heavily on the infomation I receive as too how the NC will work.I think most investors have the wait and see attitude as my last posting reflected this opinion from Sudhir. From past experience technology companies do produce what they say they will but sometimes not on time.I could be out to lunch on this one but I thing Java is truly a turning point in the Software and Hardware Technological area.
Your guess is good as mine on who will make the money on it.But somebody will make money.

I haven't figure you out but I think you are a MS supporter. What I notice is that MS is trying to freeze the market buy using different tactics till it figures out how it will deal with this new concept.Since MS has such a following it has the power right now.But as time goes on I think it will eventually give in or else be left behind which I doubt. My point is who has the greatest potential for growth Corel or MS? Of course more potential more RISK.

Go Java GO
