Idaho receives assays from Blakely Creek project

Wed 29 Sept 99 News Release
Mr. Del Steiner reports
The company is receiving economic platinum and palladium grades from a
reconnaissance program on its Blakely Creek property. The property is one
of four on the Stillwater complex undergoing exploration at this time by
ICMC. The Blakely Creek project is on the west side of the complex near
Chrome Mountain and adjoins Stillwater Mining Company's patented claims in
the area of the Frog Pond adit. The JM reef in the area of the Frog Pond
adit is currently being developed by Stillwater as the East Boulder
project. The East Boulder expansion is projected to increase Stillwater
Mining Company's annual production of platinum and palladium by 500,000
ounces to a total of 1.2 million ounces.
The following assays are on samples collected from the Blakely Creek
project on the projected strike of the Olivine bearing units (Troctolite),
which host the JM reef. The higher grade samples were pegmatoidal
equigranular rocks consisting of primarily olivine and pyroxene minerals
with up to 2-per-cent sulphides. The samples came from outcrop and subcrop
in the Blakely Creek drainage and are similar in appearance to the JM reef
in the Frog Pond adit area. The palladium to platinum ratio of three of the
samples is close to 4 to 1, which is consistent to the ratio of the JM
reef.

The samples are prepared at the Chemex facility in Butte, Mont., and then
assayed by Chemex at its facility in Vancouver, B.C., using standard fire
assay procedures.
Because of the talus and overburden, it was difficult to obtain a
stratigraphic thickness of the zone, but based on float and geologic
projection the unit in the area sampled may have a strike length of at
least 3,000 feet. ICMC will continue to evaluate the zone and plan for a
drilling program once permitting is completed.
