Did not know about this thread, glad I found it! COOKIES SUCK! I have never turned them on! I never will! I like typing in my user id and password. I don't want to give a server the right to request a write to my disk. This open doors for exploitation of the write access to a local hard drive - NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT IS DENIED! You can do the same thing with a MAC Address. Use the protocol as it was designed to be used.
