It seems that today's zshops deal would have hurt ebay. The reason it did not IMO are as follows:

1) These stocks are still trading vehicles, not investments

2) No one can say with certainty what the impact will be, or even who the survivors will be

3) No one expects these companies to make money in the foreseeable future anyhow

3) Everybody wants to party on and not sweat these details
