Mike:

The notice originated from my broker's clearing agent, LFG,llc. In all fairness, they've always given me excellent executions, however I've only used this account to trade the E-mini, and the SP's. They've never hosed me on a market order, and I've probably issued several hundred of them. On one occasion I was on the phone with the order desk when one of my orders was being executed electronically...there was a limit sell order hanging, that was about 8 points above the current ask, but my market order wasn't executed at the higher price, but at the then current ask...unlike an equities broker I could name.<ng>

All those trades were done electronically over the net, but the order desk maintains a record of each transaction...how they do their commodities transactions, I don't know...I have another broker with whom I've had good experiences, so I continue to use them. I opened the 'net account, out of curiosity, a while after they started trading the E-mini.

Got to get with the trend, you know...elctronics, the 'net, push-buttons, 3-5 second executions/confirmations...whooeee, the future is now!<g>
