ITF Optical Technologies Launches a Raman Pump Combiner?
September 17 1999

ITF Optical Technologies, the leader in the design and manufacture of D-WDM all-fiber components, announces the release of a Raman Pump CombinerTM, the RPC-100, specifically designed for high power Raman optical amplification systems. Based on our exclusive All-Fiber technology, the RPC-100 allows up to 8 pump channels to be combined for multiple-wavelength amplification. ITF's Raman Pump CombinerTM can accommodate pump power in excess of 10 W and can be customized for specific channel spacings in the Raman wavelength windows.

ITF's components are characterized by the use All-Fiber Fused Biconic Taper as their technological platform. Because light never leaves the fiber, all-fiber components are not subject to power limitations. ITF's Raman Pump CombinersTM are ideally suited for high power Raman optical amplification, such as distributed Raman amplification in the 1450 nm wavelength window and remote Raman amplification in the 1480 nm wavelength window.

ITF Optical Technologies develops, manufactures and markets narrow spacing, high channel count all-fiber D-WDM devices for the telecommunication industry.
