> I see you're sort of the person who hangs around after
Can't win an argument, so you attack personally. Tchh tchh.
> Did you make a gain in RRRR?
Yeah, a little -- from 5.63 to 9.50. I missed out on the big spike to 20 or whatever that was. Darn. It was hard to miss out on, too, because it went up so fast. The only way I managed was by having placed a limit order.
> Why did you buy RRRR initially, anyway?
Internet stardust. I heard good things about the company from someone I respect, who knows what goes on there. Then I started thinking, and asking questions -- not pounding on the company, just asking questions. Everytime I didn't get good answers and instead comments turned nasty, I got convinced I was on the right track.
> belief in the industry or company or sector?
Oh, the internet will take over the world -- I live enough in the present tense to see that. The wireless trend and DSL trend and cable modem trend are going to continue to shake up the old world of TV and radio and movies and put them and everything else on the web. But that doesn't mean that I want to invest in:
- a web design company that gets paid by the hour; or
- a collection of money losing web design companies; or
- a company that invests in internet companies hoping they'll go public and succeed.
and RRRR is all those things.
> I see there is no disputing the fact that Crane's hadd > RRRR on it's list of Top 15 or so NYC co's.
Oh, I'm sure you're right -- and other experts for which you or someone has provided links here also think RRRR is a hot item. You have lots of smart company. But that reminds me of when Ztech's defense to my comments was to point out how great he thinks the RRRR board is -- a fact which by itself doesn't answer to the points I've been raising.
To talk about my favorite subject, the great mass of experts in 1929 thought the market was at a permanently high plateau.
I love experts.

Go get 'em! Between now and 5 years from now maybe you'll squeeze a few fortunes out of RRRR, and more power to you.
But my bet is, whatever the intermediate fluxuations, the company won't exist in 5 years. So let's talk then. You can tell me you told me so. Or visa versa.
