About one month ago my BellSouth ADSL was out all Friday night and then again the following Wednesday morning.

I have been complaining via e-mail and even stopped payment on my BellSouth bill until I could be assured the problem was remedied. I even sent them a copy of the letter I wrote to Consumer Complaints in the LA. Attorney General's office about my lousy internet service. I might add, monopolistic, internet service since my BellSouth lines kept me from getting good internet service from AT&TWorldNet. I discovered the public service commissioners and the F.C.C. have no regulatory authority over internet service.

When I first got the ADSL line it consistently ran at 1.2 mbps then dropped to consistently half that. Sunday afternoon the speeds were briefly 22 kbps. But this A.M. was the fastest ever.

I certainly would not depend on thin client software with this unpredictability. Should I short Citrix? The internet is now at the stage TV was with rabbit ears and roof top antennae.
