Again, the context of all this was your usage of your wife, and whatever position she holds, as a means of indicating that the term "lady" is acceptable in business, because she thinks its ok.

Well, that might have been an acceptable point, except that prior to this you commented that a woman's preference of the term "lady" would.... depend on their social circle.

Hmmmm.... so can I assume that you are not trying to insult your own wife, then? Because you apparently are trying to indicate that I and she are living in "different social circles".
