Here's an interesting post indicating NASDAQ Sept. trading volume will be 2nd or 3rd highest month ever (Courtesy of YHOO Nite Club). Herschel, I would tend to agree. I've been watching on a daily basis and I've been struck by the strength of the volume in September, not to mention the volatility. It also has seemed to me that that strength has only picked up as the month progresses. Yesterday, we ended up with some 1.3 billion shares traded. Already today, with over 2 hours left, we are at 700 million shares traded. How this translates into NITE's earnings numbers, I can't say, but I should think that the kind of share price movement we had yesterday (when there was some buzz about the strength of September volumes) will recur.
