I have looked at several Internet "credit cards" and IMO the 4.75 rate is very high compared to competitive rates. All else being equal, Internet fees are generally lower than traditional retail - that makes sense because the cost of supporting an on-line merchant should be lower and price comparisons easier to come by.

Amazon is selling their brand name and ease of use. Until common methods of credit card and buyer information validation become accepted, Amazon and other "one click" sites will have an advantage in ease of use.
