All of us on this thread are curious about your origins.
Some observations:
*You are not born and brought up in this country -USA, because your use of words, idioms are not American.
*You admitted that you resided in India for a decade or so. You seem to know about the Indian politics that anybody can pick up from newspapers. You know about Diwali. But U did not mention about other important festivals in India.
* U are anti BJP, VHP, RSS, Hindutva etc. You did not show any evidence that U have a grounding in Hindu religious studies in a way that a Hindu or for that matter an Indian would know. You were concerned about the minorities in India. That puts U in sympathy with and part of that category. It is tempting to say that U R a muslim of pakistani origin. U stayed in North India / Bombay / Goa during your formative years and thus developed a strong sense of outrage against Hindu extremists. Your father may have been a ???pakistani / Goan/portugese/European/ businessman, a foreign office official or trade rep or such. Your education must have been in a relatively exclusive school, where English was the medium of instruction. U have a good command of the English language. During School years , U probably made fun of Indians, Sadhus and Monkeys with your class mates. You never mentioned anything about Holy Koran in your posts. That may have been due to the liberal education U had during your formative years. You haven't mentioned anything about Jesus Christ or any particular empathy to Christians. I must bet that U are not an Indian christian, because U haven't empathized with them in particular. I doubt that U are an AngloIndian. There is a possibility that U are an ofspring of portugese/Goan official. The constant talk about monkeys and characterization of Saffron-clad Sadhus as Saffron-Longot monkeys indicates that U are not an Indian and not used to the monkeys, until U came to India. You have put yourself above the Sadhus . In order to call them as monkeys, either U have to be a Non-Indian Muslim or part European and part something else. "How am I doing so far?
You are also very much repelled about the public defecation and toilets. That puts U more in an European category. A pakistani has the same toilet facilities or lack there of.
Yesterday, U did not care to read the Sanskrit verses; that for practical purposes excludes U from being a Pakistani. A pakistani would understand quite a few words of Sanskrit.U did not know/ did not pretend to know Swami Vishnu Devanada. He was in US in late 1960s and on.
I came to the conclusion that you have Eurpean blood in U. U once said that the British should be back to rule India. Also once U said that U applaud the British Prime Minister Mr.Churchil. My conclusion is based on the fact that U are particularly repulsed by lack of toilets and the screeching monkeys in India. U have more sympathy with Muslims, because as an European or part European, you may feel that U belong to the ruling race.
