T simply said they were exploring the option of selling excite.

I am amazed at how the market reacts. Too many credible sources said something was brewing. Maybe it won't pan out, but certainly something is in the works.

As far as AOL goes.....If I were Armstrong, I would want AOL on my side. Instant 18 milion potential customers. Why would they want to shun AOL, who has the content and the eyeballs. They have deals with lots of baby bells and can currently do broadband in 60% of U.S., I think. They have dsl, which T does not...and what about wireless broadband??

The best thing for everybody is to ink a deal. I am betting that armstrong and case are smart folks.
