GST - there could definitely be more to come on the zShop front. I would say, however, that in my view, the initial implementation falls short of the expectation set by the press reports. I was expecting something more than listings and functionality that looks very much like Amazon's auction site.

Another thing that always bothers me about Amazon anouncements such as this, is that Amazon does not provide any revenue or profit projections that will result from new ventures. Because of this, investors are left facing a black hole. It's easy to get excited about the prospects - but one would think Amazon has done some research into what they think they can earn by this venture - and one has to wonder why they don't make their projections public - at least in rough estimate form. Everyone was bullish when Amazon launched auctions - but what are Amazon auctions really doing now? Are they making the company money? This forces me to question whether zShops will actually make the company money - and if so, how much?
