Brian, Suppose you are a hot dog fund manager and you have some big losers.You are facing an inspection of dogs that might not make as dynamic a hot dog as you'd like to expose.What do you do? Sell the losers for sure. Off set them by lightening up (on a valuation basis of course ) on some of your biggest winners. It's called window dressing. This quarter the semi's were a few of the only good winners and I think some have been sold to offset some losers. Next step now that you've faced the lick log - Buy them back!! Same industry different symbol and no wash rule problems.. JMHO Bob
