i had a problem last night with 'cleansweep', a component of norton systemworks. basically, it was freezing upon opening. i went right to symantec's knowledge base, looked through the posts that pertained to cleansweep, couldn't find an answer and posted my question to a tech.

this morning i received a posted response from an online symantec tech referencing a repair bulletin. i learned that i had a 'corrupt drive map' and i was instructed perfectly on what file to delete and what files to run to rebuild the drive map. it took all of 5 minutes and i was back in cleansweep doing other good maintenance items to my system.

i was very pleased with the online service and support and wanted to share that fact with anyone who may be interested. symantec has never disappointed me.

:)
