BOMBARDIER SCORES FOLLOW-ON Q400 SALE WITH GERMANY'S
AUGSBURG AIRWAYS

SEPTEMBER 30, 1999
TORONTO, ONTARIO--Germany's Augsburg Airways has placed a
follow-on order for two additional 350-knot Q400 turboprop
airliners with Bombardier Aerospace. The order represents the
conversion of existing options.
The airline, a Team Lufthansa member, is a long-term user of
Bombardier Aerospace products and previously ordered a total of 15
Dash 8(r) aircraft, including three Q400 airliners in March of 1999.
"We selected the Q400 both to enlarge our fleet and meet
anticipated demands for greater capacity on our route system,"
said Olaf Dlugi, managing director of Augsburg Airways. "The Q400
will also ensure family commonality of our fleet which will result
in substantial cost savings in crewing, training, maintenance and other areas."
The Q400 orderbook now stands at 62 firm orders. For the Dash 8
program, total orders and options stand at 678, including a
backlog of 82 firm aircraft.
