The writer's last thought is completely inconsistent with CYMI's behaviour.

E.g. CYMI has, practically since its inception, had a policy of having its staff on site in the chipmakers fabs servicing their lasers. It has worked both with the stepper / scanner makers as well as with their customers.

The statement that CYMI's attitude was "the customer will come to us" just doesn't match my understanding of reality.
