Robert - I really enjoyed that Gary Winnick presentation that you posted up. (Here's the link again:

webevents.broadcast.com

once you launch the webcast recording, you have to fast forward about 58 minutes to catch the beginning of the Winnick/Gilder session and the short GBLX video that starts it off - use the slider control on your MediaPlayer or RealPlayer window not the fast forward button).

Winnick sure can talk! Less of a presentation, more like the Second Coming. I can understand now how he gets people to lend him millions of dollars to buy equipment, which he then puts at the bottom of the sea. I liked the bit about Frontier GlobalCenter where he says that it will be bigger than Exodus as they expand its services ambitiously into countries served by the Crossings. As more and more consumer and business services are put onto the Internet, I think these data centers are going to be the mills and foundries of this new industrial revolution (and that's why I own most of the stox involved from GBLX, QWST, EXDS thru to smaller specialty shops like USIX).

It was actually fairly ironic how I was watching a webcast of a conference about broadband in a tiny jerky on a 28.8 bps connection running at 24 bps with pretty bad audio quality while People Who Don't Get It are talking about a bandwidth 'glut'. I want it to be on a big screen with great sound, and after I watch it I want to be able to pull up any episode of NYPD Blue or Seinfeld episode, or any movie that I want and watch that. Wait till we really start to move data around the planet.

Well enough with the cheerleading....when does this stock get back above $30 for chrissakes!?
