NZRO doesn't have enough money, Donny? Well, maybe if they delayed their IPO until mid-2000 they might not have much money.
However, according to Red Herring, they've got enough dough to buy Earthlink and Mindspring. Check it out, Donny. You might begin to consider you could be right about broadband, but wrong about whether or not there's time for NetZero to have an impact.
I remind you that the article is dated September 25, 1999 and the only different which has happend since then is that NetZero has signed more subscriptions. Anyway, here's the operative paragraph w/the link:
>>>"On the other hand, Netzero, with its high market capitalization, could swallow smaller ISPs. 'Theoretically, Netzero could buy Earthlink and Mindspring,' says Mr. Taulli. Earthlink and Mindspring, which announced merger plans Thursday, have about 3 million customers. At current valuations, if Netzero were to swap stock for equity in the two companies, now worth $3.4 billion, it would assume a relatively small amount of debt."
