Just a thought, but couldn't NZRO at some point expand to offer some form of broadband, at a discounted price, the difference being paid for by advertising the same way the regular service is? Just think of the ad revenue that could be generated by making the ads interactive, with full-motion video etc. Currently advertisers are limited by having to accomodate most viewers using 56k or less. But in this situation they would be guaranteed that the viewer is using a broadband connection, giving them much more freedom in using rich, bandwith-intensive ads. Just a thought.
