Nokomis, I solved the cat bath problem by taking mine to a groomer. 30 bucks, they get scratched not me! But I'm sitting here laughing out loud at your post, having just 20 minutes ago attempted to remove a "clump" - a matt of hair and WHATEVER on my longhaired cat who loves to run through the woods. Although I only was able to remove half of it before she escaped my grasp, I accomplished what I could by rolling down my long sleeves, putting on gardening gloves and wrapping a towel over her head and body, leaving only the affected rear portion exposed. Let's just say she's mad as hell at me now, and is even taking it out on the dog, swiping her in the nose as she walked by. And we're not finished yet : )
