Regarding the article, from AOL's standpoint, I am at a loss to understand the concept of why AT&T might be prepared to sell out to AOL and then buy back the AtHome Network high-speed programming piece of the business.

It seems to me that the AtHome Network high-speed programming piece of the business is precisely what AOL wants; not the Excite piece of the business.

I wonder if there might be something in the papers relating to T's acquisition of a controlling interest in Excite/AtHome that prevents the selling off of pieces of Excite/Athome.

Any thoughts, anyone?
