Larry G., it was a good deal for everyone.

The "bought deal" went to investment firms in the business of making money for their clients. I would assume their investment dollar investment comprises a "small" amount of their investment capital pool. An investment in MBI will not make them rich! But it may (and it looks that way) give them an advantage over their competitors. These guys live and die by the percentage gain they deliver to their clients each year. Buying MBI (an unknown upstart biotech company) was a big deal for these guys.

It looks right now that they made one heck of a deal for themselves. Never fault another investor for making some money! It was a major chance taken by these guys.

MBI did get the money it needed to move MBI 226 into Phase II/III and two or three new indications into Phase I, all within the next 6 - 12 months. Tell me that WAS a bad deal for MBI?

If MBI had sent you a letter saying send us a few thousand dollars (on our word) and we'll let you in on our deal, would you have?

Good luck to all.

Carter B.
