You make some good points, so a question. Why not join the thread as a contributor early on when you find these picks and let us all (including Tim) discuss the merits of taking a position. Seems that we'd all profit from that approach instead of listening to the disagreements that you both have about who is better.

I have never wanted for anyone to make a comparison between myself and Timmy. I don't pick my investments because of their takeover prospects. And I don't doubt that Timmy may have some talent for choosing those that do. What I disagree with about him is the fact that he is promoting buying shares of otherwise questionable companies at high prices, and a total lack of diversification. He does this without any sound reasoning, fundamentals, or worthwhile opinion. It is all table pounding, and poor investment advice.

This thread is mostly for people with a "tell me what to do" attitude. If I have some opinion on a security I will usually post it on the thread for that stock. I'm sure some folks have gotten ideas from checking my profile, as I have with others. Some of my best investments have come from clues found on SI (INSS and DY to name two).

I do not wish anyone here any ill feelings. And hope that folks here are quite successful in their investing, not from luck, but from a solid investment program based on proven methods. The 90s has been a great decade for techs. A monkey with a dart could get rich in the last few years.

But things won't be getting easier, and it is no longer a matter of buying the next dot-com stock. For all those people that walk away with ten baggers, someone is losing that much. SOMEBODY HAD TO BUY AOL AT 175 for it to trade there.

I will continue to follow NR4W, as I find human nature fascinating. This thread is like an Ant Farm.

As for Timmy, you know where I live, so your attorney should have no trouble finding me.

Based on his last post, all I can say now is: I told ya so!

Good luck to all. Sorry to any who found my posts annoying, I was just having fun while waiting for my ship to come in.
