NEWS RELEASE 4-7-97 GPGI-PROGRESS IN LEACHING ORE PROCESS After many months of R&D, Global Platinum + Gold is happy to announce that the process of leaching precious metals from enhanced ore has moved from the laboratory to the mill. 10 tons of enhanced ore was leached and 20,000 gallons of pregnant leach liquor was precipitated using a proprietary process. This concentrate material is currently in the drying mode. Should the recovery of precious metals from this concentrate at the mill yield values approximating those values recovered in the laboratory, Global will be able to make a shipment to a refinery or begin actively refining the material in its in-house refinery, or both. The answer is expected shortly. The leaching method, should it prove successful, will represent a major step in moving Global towards a production mode. ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS Richard E.
