I heard on CNBC that because of the trial in Oregon, AT&T wants to get rid of Excite so as to show no preference for on-line portals. AT&T feels this will improve their case with the courts.

Seeing how AT&T is handling this open access issue, how are they going to be able to upgrade cable for internet access in a reasonable period of time. Wireless is not that far off. I believe AT&T has really mishandled this whole issue!
