Jim,

a few months ago, I was wondering what type of wireless appliances are coming down the pipe line, especially any killer apps.

Now it is apparent that QCOM would not be working on the appliance end but rather backbone and the delivery of the pipeline to these future appliances.

I have no idea if there is some geek in some garage somewhere, working on something that we all cannot live without in a few years.

My question is would these "inventors" have to be licensees or can you just buy some MSM5000 chips and develop your appliance around it? If they have to be licensees, then it should be possible to just look at the current licensee list and see who is doing what at this time. Wouldn't this serve as a good indicator of QC's progress in the data arena?

Aside from above, how would you (or anyone) measure QC's growth in the next generation wireless technology.

Ramsey
