I agree completely. I am not in the chip business so I hesitate to comment when it comes to these kind of subjective issues but this past year, I have watched as intc with all its money and resources screw up a couple of important launches.

From that I have learned that moving a chip product from design to production to the market is major and provides many opportunities for screwing up. Under the handicap that AMD operates under, I think they have done reasonably well with the Athlon and seem not to have lost their focus at all.....a coup considering all the criticism they get. I only get concerned when chipzilla swings its big tail and manages to wipe out a few oem opportunities or cuts off a couple of mobo makers. Unfortunately that is life in the big city.
