Where do they get these idiots?

When it comes to the people quoted on CNBC, I've come to appreciate the rare bright mind instead of despairing the all to common idiot.

How many know what DWDM stands for or, more to the point, what it does? No surprise they don't know the proper name of the company or its symbol.
