I haven't seen the precise wording, but he certainly conveyed that message. I have to agree with Bush on this one. The Republicans shot themselves in the foot on that one, and Dubya gave them a chance to undo the potential damage. The only thing I would like to know is if the Republican leadership got any input from Dubya beforehand. bp
