Tom,
Are you concerned about the abundance of competitor's popping up ? Big names at that. Can USAB be a major player. I see the move towards combo brick and mortar/e-banking alliances. When it comes to people's cash, they tend to trust a name/reputation, as much as interest rates and etc, etc.....Can USAB compete evenly with big boy's.
I was in USAB at about $6 prior to the last split, and sold at $14 and $12, which I am now thankful for. I was looking to get back in at some point, but had no idea USAB would tank the way it has. The tanking forced me to do a little further DD, and frankly I didn't really get very enthused to buy more....even at this level. I would think $6 is a bottom, or close to it, but I certainly could be wrong. Net banking will be big, I have no doubt about that...my doubts are how big a piece of the pie USAB can get...and if they can get a big enough piece to sustain themselves. I look at myself, and see many more just like me. I am hesitant to give my banking services to a smaller, less know entity. Even as a shareholder, I did not open an account with them. What will the masses do ? Is there any hope USAB will join forces with a "brand name" ? I feel it's necessary in the long run. Gimmiks will only work so far when it comes to banking.Bottom line is people need to feel like their money is in the best possible place.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
