I read an article about this meteorite in Scientific American a few issues back. I still don't understand how they can say for sure that it wasn't contaminated. However, if life was shown to exist on other planets it wouldn't change my mind about any of the fundamentals of that which I believe.

What amazes me is that people will worship their own intellect, being convinced that they are the epitomy of objective thought because they rely on science -- only those things that can be ascertained through the senses -- and label others as unsophisitcated because the others seek spiritual truths beyond that which can be seen, touched, tasted, etc. These derive comfort and ego boosts from comparing themselves with others. They talk about being rational and individualistic, but must rely on putting down others to make themselves feel as though they are somthing greater than they really are. Oh, that for a moment, each would be granted an eye to see clearly the spiritual dimension.
