Heinz, interesting exchange...

The undeniable inflationary pressures seem to be building...

- falling dollar
- rising gold and commodities
- increase in index volume on decline

- not to mention many others

I find it interesting to note that alot of the commentary that I read mentions that these are the major warning signs, signaling inflation 3-6 months down the road. The question of late seems to be " Are these signals true or false?" Personally I find them hard to ignore.

I will have to try to build a chart, but as a layman I've noticed in the past that the U.S. economy will sometimes take a turn for the worse immediately after a presidential election, especially if there is a change in the incumbency. I wonder if you or anyone on the thread already has any existing data to support this theory on the economy and market direction surrounding presidential elections. It would be most interesting and most appreciated. I will begin to look into it...

As always,

Best Regards, and have a great weekend
