I don't know at what stage in his life Reagan's bizarre ideation began.

His son, Schmuck, is 35 years old now. Schmuck's high school graduation would have been about 17 years ago. So it must have been after Reagan's governorship that the incident occurred in which the man didn't recognize his own son at the graduation ceremony.

"Michael Reagan is the most starved child of all... he used to be proud of his father's nickname for him, Schmuck, until he looked it up in a Yiddish dictionary... "
